Phuentsholing to Thimphu

Our first stop is the Dochula Pass 3050 m, where you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of 108 chortens dotting the landscape against the backdrop of majestic mountains. As we continue our drive, we’ll head directly to the enchanting Gangtey Monastery, a sacred site nestled amidst the valley’s picturesque landscape.
  • For the adventurous souls, consider trekking along the Gangtey Natural Trail. A pleasurable walk (around 2 hours) that gives a nice feeling for Phobjikha Valley. It is the most beautiful and shortest of the existing nature trails in Bhutan. From the small hilltop overlooking Gangtey Goemba, head downhill through flower meadows to Semchubara village and
    from here through beautiful forests and into the open valley.

  • We will require your PAN card details for TCS (Tax Collected at Source).

  • Pickup and Drop location: Bagdogra Airport – IXB
  • Distance from Bagdogra Airport to Phuentsholing: 4:00 hr (150.8 km) via road.
  • Airport Pickup: Scheduled between 02:00 pm and 03:00 pm at Bagdogra Airport.
  • Airport Drop: Scheduled at 04:00 pm. Kindly book your flight after 6:00 PM onwards or consider staying near Bagdogra Airport at your own expense and catching a flight the next day.

Important Notice:

  • If arriving and departing by train at New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Station, the vehicle will pick you up and drop you off at Tinbatti More, located approximately 3.7 km (around 11 minutes by road) from NJP Station.
  • Our team member will be at the airport to coordinate and arrange your pickup.
  • Please note: If your pickup or drop falls outside our designated time, you can arrange a separate vehicle at your own expense.

No, couples will get a private double-sharing room. You won’t be sharing it with anyone else.

Bhutanese Ngultrum (BTN) is the official currency. Indian Rupees (INR) are also widely accepted — no exchange needed for Indian travelers.

While there are ATMs in Bhutan. It’s advisable to carry sufficient cash to ensure smooth transactions during your trip. Credit card is still not common in Bhutan. Very few stores/hotels accept VISA card with 5% charges.
