Your Bhutan adventure begins as soon as you arrive at Bagdogra Airport. From here, we’ll travel towards Jaigaon, the final Indian town before crossing into Bhutan.

After completing the required immigration formalities at the Pedestrian Terminal, our team will assist you with a smooth entry into Phuentsholing, your first destination in the Kingdom of Bhutan.

Once you’ve checked into your hotel and had some time to freshen up, you may enjoy a peaceful walk to Zangtopelri Lhakhang, a beautiful Buddhist temple located in the heart of the town.

In the evening, we’ll welcome everyone with a celebratory cake and traditional Bhutanese wine. An interactive introduction session will follow, giving fellow travelers an opportunity to get acquainted before beginning this memorable journey together.

Later, those interested can head to the Lions Club for an optional Disco Night.

Dochula Pass

Our first stop is the famous Dochula Pass, situated at an elevation of approximately 3,050 metres. Adorned with the iconic 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens, this mountain pass is one of Bhutan’s most recognised landmarks and offers spectacular views of the snow-covered Himalayas on clear days.

Spend some time enjoying the peaceful surroundings, capturing photographs, and taking in the fresh mountain air before continuing your drive.

Lawala Pass

The fortress preserves several precious relics dating back to the period when Bhutan’s successive kings ruled the kingdom from Punakha Valley.

Punakha Suspension Bridge

Optional Adventure Activity

River Rafting: Enjoy an optional rafting experience on the Mo Chhu River. The course covers approximately 10 km and includes around 10 rapids.

Each raft accommodates six travelers, and the activity takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Every adult traveler must carry either an original Government-issued Voter Identity Card or a valid Indian Passport with a minimum validity of six months from the return date.

Children (Below 18 Years)

Children should travel with either a Passport or a Birth Certificate. All information printed on the document must be in English.

  • Aadhaar Card is not accepted as a valid travel document for entering Bhutan. 
  • Only original Government-issued Voter Identity Cards are accepted. Cards that are inactive, damaged, invalid, or cannot be verified through the Election Commission database will not be accepted by Bhutan Immigration. 
  • Photocopies, scanned copies, digital copies, or printouts of travel documents are not considered valid. Every traveler must carry the original Passport or Voter ID during immigration.

  • Distance: Bagdogra Airport to Phuentsholing is approximately 150.8 km, with a road journey of around 4 hours.
  • Airport Pickup : The scheduled group pickup will take place between 02:00 PM and 03:00 PM at Bagdogra Airport.
  • Airport Drop : The return drop is planned around 04:00 PM. Please book your flight after 6:00 PM. Alternatively, travelers may stay near Bagdogra Airport at their own expense and fly the following day.

Important Notice

  • Train Travelers – NJP Station
  • For guests arriving or departing from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, pickup and drop will be arranged from Tinbatti More, located approximately 3.7 km from NJP Station.
  • Our team member will assist with transfer coordination.
